About
Michael Marchesini is an attorney licensed in Montana who focuses on immigration and criminal appeals. A UC Berkeley School of Law graduate, he began his legal career as a clerk to Justice Beth Baker of the Montana Supreme Court. He then spent seven years as an appellate public defender, ultimately supervising a team of attorneys and handling more than 60 appeals. His appellate experience spans a wide range of criminal cases, from misdemeanors to serious felonies such as homicide, sexual offenses, and assault with a weapon.
Michael also brings years of immigration experience to his practice, including legal internships at the Northwest Immigrant Rights Project in Seattle and East Bay Community Law Center in the Bay Area, paralegal work at Dobrin & Han, PC — an immigration firm in Seattle — and pro bono immigration representation. Having lived in Nicaragua for two years, Michael is fluent in Spanish and understands the challenges facing Montana’s immigrant communities.
Michael resides in Bozeman with his wife and two young boys. When not practicing law, he enjoys hiking, playing guitar at his church, and spending time with his family.
